History

Evangelical pentecostal church „Good news“ Split is a fellowship founded on the basis of the Holy Scripture (Old and New Testament). Its work in Split started in 1991, serving with spiritual and social help through its pastoral work, rehabilitation and re-entry centre for drug addicts (“Teen Challenge”), and many other church activities with the desire for Jesus’ prayer to be fulfilled :

“Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven!"

Vision

Believing in Jesus, rooted on the Word of God and filled with the Holy Spirit, we strive for the spiritual and physical renewal of each individual and family in the city of Split and Croatia.

Name „Good news“

The words „Good News“ are found in many places in the Bible especially in the New Testament, like in the Gospel of Luke 2:10

„But the angel said to them, „Do not be afraid. I bring you GOOD NEWS of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.“

 

We believe that in these times we live in, we need much more good new instead of the frightening ones we hear every day. This is why we think every man has the right to hear the true GOOD NEWS about Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Savior of the world.
